So I'm sorry this comment is two years late.

I still have the review copy of the book you sent me. It's currently in storage because of my own life upheavals, but it's still there. And just yesterday I reccommended it to a new SW fan online. It was a great piece of work that is still (fortunately or unfortunately) relevant.

I still haven't seen Disney's EU outside of Force Awakens, The Mandalorian, and the first season of Rebels. I haven't wanted to due to the general malaise and horrific behind-the-scenes stuff you mentioned. But I plan to at least see for myself and get accurate judgement in the next year.

Hope you continue to be well. The Nilboghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03902509798047158212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636066944923143523.post-9170120500136418972019-10-24T07:56:27.263-07:002019-10-24T07:56:27.263-07:00I think that if Disney had stuck with the stand al...I think that if Disney had stuck with the stand alone films, I could have supported its handling of the franchise. For some reason, the studio and Lucasfilm seemed incapable of creating a well written trilogy. On the other hand, I have enjoyed the stand alone films very much.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636066944923143523.post-13944286936741706852019-04-14T07:22:08.397-07:002019-04-14T07:22:08.397-07:00Great post, I have never been so pessimistic abou...Great post, I have never been so pessimistic about the state of the franchise. The franchise abandoning the Skywalkers is more of a cause of concern than anything to be happy about. The ST's treatment of the past comes off nihilistic. I think it had to be intentional on some level because it is so overt. I also wrote something in honor of episode 1's 20th anniversary, I would be glad to know what you think about it.

https://ashiusxreviews.wordpress.com/2019/04/13/star-wars-episode-1-the-phantom-menace-top-8-reasons-to-appreciate-it/AshiusXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08001184767028280567noreply@blogger.com
